The Safeguard Security Group, which was awarded first prize in the Marketing Association of Zimbabwe Superbrands Awards Security Sector category, is noted for its efficiency, reliability and customer care.
These qualities, along with its use of technologically advanced security products and techniques, have contributed to making Safeguard the household name that it is today and to ensuring it continues to lead the pack in the security sector.
In addition to emerging as the winner in the Security Sector, Safeguard was ranked 19th in the Business to Business Sector out of 200 brands. The results were attained from a market research exercise carried out countrywide.
The company, various components of which have individually attained ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems certification, has been a major player in Zimbabwe’s security services industry for more than four decades.
It operates the country’s widest rapid response security service. Value has been added to this service through a cellphone panic button that can be used to request assistance anywhere in the country provided there is network coverage.
The rapid response teams are equipped with smartphones that give them the location and quickest route to take when responding to an alarm.
One of its innovations in 2017 was to enter into a partnership with another top brand, Ace Air and Ambulance, for the provision of ambulance services to its rapid response clients in a medical emergency in Harare or Victoria Falls.
In a medical emergency at their premises, rapid response clients need only press the medical alarm button on their Safeguard alarm control panel or a panic button for Safeguard to react. A Safeguard response team and an Ace Air Ambulance with paramedics on board immediately head for the customer’s premises. No medical aid card or payment to the ambulance crew is required.
The company has also partnered with other ambulance service providers to make this service available to all its rapid response customers across the country.
In a similar way, rapid response clients can press a fire alarm button on their alarm control panel or a panic button for Safeguard to summon the fire brigade and rush to the premises itself in the event of a fire.
Safeguard provides a full range of security products and services. These include security guards, security guards with guard dogs, the secure movement of cash or other valuables in satellite tracked armoured vehicles, alarms, rapid response, private investigations, fogging machines, controlled security access within a building and physical security barriers. It also provides time and attendance systems.
Safeguard’s engineering division provides security fences, electric and manual gates, grille gates, burglar bars, roller shutter doors and garage doors nationwide.
It is the official agent in Zimbabwe for Xpanda security gates, which have proved an effective and affordable means of securing doors and windows at both residential and commercial premises.
It recently introduced to the market transparent burglar bars, which provide security without spoiling the view from either inside or outside a building.
These are just some of the modern security solutions that Safeguard has to offer. Further information is available on the company’s website www.safeguard.co.zw. Email enquiries can be sent to info@safeguard.co.zw.
