MARCH REVIEW AND THE WEEKS AHEAD

Crime continued on a general upwards swing across the country for March, but fewer armed robberies. Cash, Fuel, and Batteries remain the significant targets. With the lock-down, we have seen a big fall in the number of incidents this past week. A rash of intruders in the Kensington and Strathaven areas in Harare, and Kwekwe CBD this past few days is a reminder though that we all need to remain vigilant.

The lockdown will bring great hardship for all, and as we emerge from it, we will probably experience a surge in crime. Use this quiet period at home to review your security. We have scaled down in many areas to reduce our footprint and movement, but all response, emergency services, and critical guarding remain fully manned and on call to assist.

Thank you all for working with us to reduce services where possible to keep staff at home, and a big thank you to our men and women on the ground who continue to get to work safely each day despite pretty challenging conditions.

Have a safe and peaceful Easter

Thank you for using Safeguard.
