School is out, Easter is a week away, and many of you will be travelling. A few notes for a safer holiday period

Please remember: –

  1. Travel – theft from motor vehicles and hijack have spiked in the last month so be more aware.

do not give lifts to hikers –

do not stop in lay byes for a rest

do not stop to assist people that have broken down

keep a look out at junctions, have doors locked, and valuables out of sight

park in secure areas

do not turn into your property if there is suspicious activity- loiterers or following vehicle

  1. Temp Guard Booking – If you think you will need guard cover please book NOW. We have a limited

number of staff and must have some warning.

  1. Test Your Security Equipment – be sure of the coverage and signalling (If you have our safeguard App

you can run a detailed check of your alarm yourself).

  1. Turn on alarms – If at home make sure you use your systems and lock up early. If you are away ideally

do not leave staff in charge of the on and off.

  1. Download Safeguard App – If you are a response customer download the app. You can call for assistance across the country, including

breakdown, accident, and medical. You Tube instructions and overview if you need more information

  1. Visitors/Contractors –Do not let people in if you have not planned their visit in advance. This includes

all purporting to be on official business

  1. Lock-Up – Ensure your property is properly locked up: secure sheds, garages, windows, and doors when

you are leaving the premises, and turn on your alarm

  1. See Something Say Something – Be aware of what is going on around you and your property. If it looks

wrong, and you are uneasy, report it to us and get it checked out by our response team

Remember that Zimbabwe is generally a safe place if you are sensible. Remain aware, travel safely and have a

super holiday.
