PHILIP RUKARA – EMPLOYEE NUMBER C34019

HIS CONTRIBUTION IN SUMMARY

Mr Rukara resides in Domboshava and carries out night guard duties at 782 Helvetia in Borrowdale. Mr Rukwara was supposed to report for night shift duty on the 16th of January 2019. On the day under discussion, Mr Rukwara was still at his place of residence when he was approached by a group of soldiers at around 1250 hours. The soldiers subsequently started to physically assault the man causing injuries to his stomach and back. About 30 minutes later a second group of soldiers arrived and Mr Rukara pointed out that he had been assaulted by the other group of soldiers. This prompted the second group of soldiers to pour water on him and started physically assaulting the man for a second time. To make matters worse a third group of soldiers came to the man’s residence and again assaulted him. Though Mr Rukara had been beaten up by soldiers and was nursing some wounds, this did not stop the man from reporting for duty. The brave Mr Rukara was determined to go to work and actually reported for duty on time at 782 Helvetia to carry out his duties. This is commendable effort.
